Thinking about getting facelift surgery? Not sure if you are ready for it just yet? Here are seven signs that it might be time to book yourself in for your initial appointment with a cosmetic surgeon.
1. You’re Always Noticing the Sagging of Your Face When You Look in the Mirror
You’re probably thinking to yourself, “I didn’t always look like this!” This is the area where a facelift can really help. It reduces the sag across the whole of your face so that everything is tight again.
2. You’ve Tried Various Fillers and BOTOX® – to Little Effect
While fillers and muscle relaxants can be a great way to make subtle changes to your face, they are not as effective as time marches on, or if your whole face is aging at once.
3. You’re Ready to Take Care of Your Appearance
If you don’t take action now, then things are only going to get worse. The later that you wait to get a facelift, the more difficult it will become to get the effects that you desire.
4. You’ve Put Some Money Away for a Rainy Day
What could be a better way to spend that little bit that you have saved than making yourself feel and look better? While some might think house renovations are a good investment, investing in yourself feels far more rewarding.
5. You’re Fit and Healthy
A facelift isn’t something to be taken lightly – it’s a serious surgery, and with it comes the risk of complications. However, in people that are fit and healthy, these risks are greatly reduced. If you’re a non-smoker (or have quit for at least 4 weeks), are eating healthy and exercising, and your medical history is solid, then you should be a good candidate for facelift surgery.
6. You’ve Got Enough Time to Recover
If you’ve got enough leave saved up at work, it’s easy to take a break. Or, if you’re not presently employed, then you should be able to schedule surgery without any hesitations. It will take around 2 weeks for you to be ready to face the world without most people being the wiser.
7. You’ve Been Thinking About Facelift Surgery for Some Time
Surgery isn’t something that we should ever enter into lightly! If you have been thinking for some time that a facelift is for you, then maybe it’s time to take that next step and book yourself an initial consultation.
