Although silicone implants are the most popular choice for breast augmentation among Tampa women, there are still plenty of reasons for choosing saline instead. At my practice, I use both saline and silicone implants, and can definitely say that great results aren’t limited to one or the other.
Small Victories
Some things about saline implants are better because they’re actually smaller. One of the primary advantages of using saline implants in my surgeries is that I can use much smaller incisions during the procedures. Unlike silicone, saline implants can be inserted while still empty, and then filled with a syringe after they’re fully placed. This allows for a much tinier insertion area.
Something else that’s smaller about saline is the risk for developing capsular contracture. Although scar tissue will always develop around an implant, excessive scar tissue growth can result in rigidity and be quite painful. The risk of this happening with saline implants is much lower than when using silicone.
Another benefit of saline that’s smaller is the price tag. In the Tampa-St. Petersburg area, the average cost for breast augmentation using saline implants is a fraction of the total investment compared to using silicone instead.
The Best Success
The best success for ensuring fantastic breast augmentation results comes down to a fully customized solution designed to bring out the best in every woman. At my practice, I focus on making sure that implants will complement a woman’s natural frame, appearance goals and lifestyle to bring out the best possible beauty potential, regardless of implant type.
